法学会・法学部では、国際労働機関で活躍なさっておられる、山本幸子氏をお呼びして、下記の通り講演会を開催することといたしました。世界的に著名なＩＬＯの活動について最新の話をお伺いできるだけではなく、国際機関で働くことに興味のある方にも大いに参考になると思います。大勢の方の参加を期待しています。

■演題 「アジアの雇用問題とＩＬＯ 〜 国際機関で働くこと」
■講師 山本 幸子氏 国際労働機関（ILO）アジア太平洋総局長
（ご略歴）米国カリフォルニア大学国際関係学部（BA）卒業後、英国ケンブリッジ大学で国際法学博士号（PhD）を取得。
国連において、国連法務局主席法務官、カンボジア国連暫定機構次席法務官、国連法務局上級法務官、「移動性野生動物の種の保全に関する国際条約」の事務局長兼調整官等を歴任。ILO入局直前は、「有害廃棄物の国境を越える移動及びその処分の規制に関するバーゼル条約」の事務局長として、事務局および世界１４箇所にあるバーゼル条約地域センターを統括した。2007年5月ILOに入局し、アジア太平洋総局長（事務局長補レベル）に就任。

Yamamoto

Office for Asia and the Pacific Region
Dr. Sachiko Yamamoto was appointed
ILO Regional Director for Asia and the
Pacific at the level of Assistant Director-General in May 2007.
Dr Yamamoto holds a PhD in
International Law from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a BA in
International Relations from University of California (USA).
Prior to joining the ILO in July
2007, she served an Executive Secretary of the Basel Convention on
Control of Hazardous Wastes, with responsibilities for the operation
of the Convention Secretariat and 14 Basel Convention Regional
Centres worldwide.
Her earlier appointments at the UN
include Principal Legal Officer of the UN Office of Legal Affairs,
Deputy Legal Adviser to the UN Transitional Authority in Cambodia,
Senior Legal Officer of the UN Office of Legal Affairs, and
Secretary-General/Coordinator of the International Convention for
the Protection of Migratory Species of Wild Animals.
